Rudhramadevi's Kingdom(ANUSHKA) new poster

Anushka Shetty, who bagged laurels for her acting prowess in ‘Arundhati’, is back with yet another women-centric film – ‘Rani Rudhramadevi’. She is all set to play as the Kakatiya queen. Guna Sekhar, who carved out a niche for himself with films like ‘Choodalani Vundi’ and ‘Okkadu’, is wielding the megaphone for this project. He also turns a producer and will make the film which will go on the floors in February under his home banner Guna Team Works. Director-producer Guna Sekhar said, “Rani Rudhramadevi has inspired me a lot. She was the most prominent ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty on the Deccan Plateau. She defended her kingdom from the Cholas and Yadavas. Moreover, she battled male chauvinism seven centuries ago. Our government is going to celebrate Kakatiya Utsavam on the eve of completion of seven centuries next year.”
